Security equipment and installation for your property
- Business phones and call routing. We install desk phones and configure the supported calling service, extensions, ring groups, and voicemail. Start with the numbers customers already use and the people who should answer them. An office line, receiving desk, and dispatch group may need different rules. We document what happens when nobody answers, when the business closes, and when a caller needs another team. Your approved call flow becomes part of the test plan, rather than a set of settings only the installer understands.
- Paging equipment and warehouse phone locations. A warehouse employee may not sit beside a desk phone. We assess where a telephone, paging speaker, or supported announcement connection would help staff communicate. Show us noisy areas, equipment rooms, and places that are difficult to reach during normal operations. Existing paging amplifiers and speakers need an equipment check before reuse is proposed. The scope should identify which zones receive an announcement, who can make it, and how staff will test audibility during handoff.
- Network cabling for phones, cameras, and readers. We inspect the cable runs, switches, patch panels, and equipment rack serving the proposed devices. Phones and cameras may use network power, so the selected switch capacity matters as well as the number of available sockets. We install and label the agreed cabling, document its destination, and test the connections. Share any IT network requirements before equipment is ordered. A camera cable and a phone cable should be traceable by someone maintaining the site later.
- Security cameras and employee door access. For a combined project, we can install cameras at receiving or staff entrances and access readers at selected employee doors. Cameras, recorders, door controllers, electronic locks, and software each have a defined job. We assess the existing door hardware and camera views before choosing replacements. Decide which manager can review video and which person changes credentials. Adding these systems to the same project does not mean every product automatically integrates with every other product.
- Phone-number transfer and installation preparation. Gather the current carrier bill, number list, extension list, and a diagram of where phones are needed. Identify fax, alarm, elevator, or other lines that must be reviewed separately; do not assume each can move to the new calling service. Agree on transfer timing with the current and new providers before ending an existing service. Tec-Tel coordinates the installation steps and tests the agreed calling functions so the business can confirm the change at the site.
Products Tec-Tel installs and configures
Projects can include the equipment and services below. We assess your site and existing systems before confirming the products, installation work, and support in your proposal.
- Security camera installation - Indoor and outdoor cameras, network video recorders, and video storage. We mount cameras, run cable, configure recording, and test the view at each location.
- Access control installation - Card and fob readers, electronic door locks, controllers, credentials, and management software. We install the selected equipment and configure who can enter each door and when.
- Video management systems - Software for live camera viewing, recording playback, video export, and user permissions. We configure supported cloud, on-site, or hybrid systems and check existing camera compatibility.
- AI video software - Software that searches recordings or flags selected activity for review. We assess equipment compatibility, configure the selected functions, and test them against the project requirements.
- Structured cabling - Cat6, Cat6A, fiber, racks, patch panels, and network connections for cameras, doors, phones, and business networks. We install, label, test, and document the cabling.
- Business phone systems - Business phones, VoIP service configuration, call routing, and paging. We coordinate the equipment, network readiness, installation, testing, and staff transition.
Monitoring, entry, and video software solutions
- Remote video monitoring - Connect compatible cameras to a monitoring service, with event review and response instructions defined for the property.
- Visitor and contractor management - Plan visitor entry, intercom calls, and supported door-access permissions around the people who approve access.
- License plate recognition - Select cameras and software for reading vehicle plates. Camera position, lighting, vehicle speed, and system compatibility determine suitability.
- Workplace safety video analytics - Assess software for selected safety events, such as PPE or forklift activity, and configure alerts for staff review. Detection depends on the selected system and conditions.
- Complete security system installation and support - Coordinate cameras, door access, video software, cabling, and selected monitoring or maintenance services in one project scope.

Installation planning for a business in Bolingbrook
Bolingbrook’s 2023 municipal business report documents industrial development and distribution facilities. For a business with an office and a working warehouse, a phone project needs to account for both spaces. The desk answering a customer call may be separate from receiving, dispatch, or the person handling a delivery. Tec-Tel plans the devices, call routing, paging, and network connections around those roles. If cameras or door access are also changing, the equipment survey can cover the same cable routes and rooms. Bring a floor plan showing the office, warehouse, receiving area, and equipment rack so we can identify the devices and connections each space needs.
From design through service
- Document a real incoming call. Follow a customer call from the published number through reception, transfer, voicemail, and any after-hours destination. Include receiving and dispatch if they answer separate calls. Write down the desired behavior and the current problem.
- Confirm devices and connections. List phones, paging interfaces, camera locations, controlled doors, cable runs, and software accounts. Separate reusable equipment from replacements and identify dependencies on your carrier, landlord, and IT team.
- Install and test before handoff. Coordinate access to working areas and agreed interruptions. Test incoming and outgoing calls, extension transfers, voicemail, paging, camera recordings, and door functions included in the proposal. Record any item awaiting another provider.
- Keep the system record. Retain the phone list, call-flow diagram, cable labels, equipment details, and support contacts. Confirm who can add a user or change a ring group. Review another building against its own requirements before repeating the design.
