Tec-Tel SMS Dispatch Notifications - Terms

Program description

Tec-Tel Communications operates an optional SMS dispatch reminder program for independent subcontractor technicians. Messages are limited to reminders for service appointments the technician has already accepted: one reminder the day before the appointment and one reminder approximately one hour before arrival.

This is not a marketing program. All messages are operational and transactional in nature.

SMS participation is optional

Consent to SMS is not required to apply to Tec-Tel's partner network, sign a contractor agreement, accept or complete an assignment, receive payment, or continue working with Tec-Tel. Technicians who do not enroll in SMS can continue to receive assignment and scheduling information by email and phone.

Providing a phone number to Tec-Tel for calls or ordinary job coordination does not enroll that number in this SMS program.

How to opt in

After choosing to participate, a technician enrolls by independently texting JOIN to +1 (848) 294-1727 from the mobile number they want enrolled. Tec-Tel records the number, keyword, and time of enrollment. No reminder text is sent before that voluntary action.

By texting JOIN, you agree to receive recurring transactional appointment reminders from Tec-Tel Communications. Message frequency varies with the number of jobs you accept. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Review the Tec-Tel Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Message types you may receive

• Day-before reminder: "Tec-Tel: reminder - you're on-site tomorrow ([date]) for [client]. Work order: [link]. Reply STOP to opt out."
• One-hour reminder: "Tec-Tel Dispatch: reminder - on-site in 1 hour at [time] for [client]. Work order: [link]. Reply STOP to opt out."

Opt-out instructions

You can stop receiving SMS dispatch notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message from Tec-Tel Dispatch. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. No further dispatch SMS will be sent until you re-opt-in by texting JOIN again.

Opting out of SMS does not terminate your contractor relationship with Tec-Tel. Tec-Tel will continue to contact you about job assignments via email and phone.

Message frequency

The program sends two automated reminder messages per scheduled appointment: one the day before and one approximately one hour before arrival. You may also receive a one-time automated response when you send JOIN, STOP, or HELP. Your total message frequency varies with the number of jobs you accept.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Tec-Tel does not charge for the messages themselves, but your wireless carrier may charge you per message, per data use, or as part of your plan. Contact your wireless carrier with any questions about your messaging plan.

Supported carriers

This program is compatible with all major U.S. wireless carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, and Virgin Mobile. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Your phone number and SMS interaction data are handled in accordance with the Tec-Tel Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are used solely to deliver the dispatch SMS notifications described above and to coordinate work assignments.

Changes to these terms

We may update these SMS terms from time to time. Material changes get posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If you keep participating in the SMS program after a change, that counts as accepting the updated terms.
