Tec-Tel SMS Dispatch Notifications - Terms

Program description

Tec-Tel Communications operates an SMS dispatch notification program for independent subcontractor technicians under contract with Tec-Tel. Messages provide transactional, dispatch-related notifications including: job assignments, scheduling confirmations, pre-arrival reminders, site arrival check-in prompts, and job completion check-outs.

This is not a marketing program. All messages are operational and transactional in nature.

Who receives messages

Only independent subcontractor technicians who have:

• Signed a current contractor agreement with Tec-Tel Communications, and
• Affirmatively opted in to SMS dispatch notifications by checking the consent box on their contractor agreement, and
• Texted the opt-in keyword JOIN to +1 (848) 294-1727 from the phone number provided on their contractor agreement.

No SMS is ever sent before all three steps are completed.

Message types you may receive

• Job assignment: "Tec-Tel Dispatch: New job assignment at [client location]. Can you take this? Reply Y to confirm or N to decline."
• Pre-arrival reminder: "Tec-Tel Dispatch: Reminder - you're scheduled on-site tomorrow at [time] for [client]. Work order: [link]."
• Recall / missed call: "Tec-Tel Dispatch: We called but couldn't reach you. New job available at [location]. Reply Y to accept."
• Site arrival check-in: "Tec-Tel Dispatch: Please confirm arrival on-site at [client location]. Reply IN to check in."
• Job completion check-out: "Tec-Tel Dispatch: Job at [client] marked complete? Reply OUT to check out and close ticket #[number]."

Opt-out instructions

You can stop receiving SMS dispatch notifications at any time by replying STOP to any message from Tec-Tel Dispatch. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. No further dispatch SMS will be sent until you re-opt-in by texting JOIN again.

Opting out of SMS does not terminate your contractor relationship with Tec-Tel. Tec-Tel will continue to contact you about job assignments via email and phone.

Message frequency

Messages are sent as-needed based on dispatch activity. Typically 1 to 5 messages per assigned job. Your message volume depends on how many jobs Tec-Tel assigns you.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Tec-Tel does not charge for the messages themselves, but your wireless carrier may charge you per message, per data use, or as part of your plan. Contact your wireless carrier with any questions about your messaging plan.

Supported carriers

This program is compatible with all major U.S. wireless carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, and Virgin Mobile. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Your phone number and SMS interaction data are handled in accordance with the Tec-Tel Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are used solely to deliver the dispatch SMS notifications described above and to coordinate work assignments.

Changes to these terms

We may update these SMS terms from time to time. Material changes get posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If you keep participating in the SMS program after a change, that counts as accepting the updated terms.
