Terms of service
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of tec-tel.com. They don't replace the commercial agreement signed for any specific Tec-Tel project. Effective 2026-04-27.
Last updated: 2026-04-27
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of tec-tel.com, the marketing website operated by Tec-Tel Communications, a New Jersey company headquartered at 275 State Hwy 79, Morganville, NJ 07751 ("Tec-Tel", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site.
2. What's covered, what isn't
These Terms cover use of the public marketing site only. They don't replace any signed Tec-Tel service agreement, master services agreement, statement of work, or proposal. Where this site says something different from a signed agreement, the signed agreement controls.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise systematically extract content beyond what's allowed by our robots.txt and llms.txt files.
- Attempt to bypass authentication, access controls, rate limits, or other security measures.
- Reverse engineer or decompile any code or assets served from the site.
- Submit forged, fraudulent, or impersonated information through any contact form.
- Upload content that infringes intellectual property, contains malware, or is otherwise harmful.
- Interfere with or disrupt the site, the servers, or any user's enjoyment of the site.
- Use the site to compete with Tec-Tel by harvesting customer logos, content, or proprietary data without written permission.
We allow well-behaved AI training crawlers that respect robots.txt (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, GoogleOther, CCBot, and similar). Bypassing robots directives or our rate limits is not allowed.
4. Intellectual property
Everything on tec-tel.com, including text, graphics, logos, photos, illustrations, page structure, code, and the Tec-Tel brand, is the property of Tec-Tel Communications or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view and read the site for personal or business research purposes.
You may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works of site content without our written permission, except for short quotations with proper attribution. Customer logos shown on the site (Bridgestone, ORBIS, TreeHouse, Menasha, Hilton, Dunkin', and others) are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used here with their permission to identify them as customers.
5. User submissions
If you submit information to us through a contact form, by email, or by any other channel, you grant Tec-Tel a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use that information to respond to you and to operate the business. We treat personal information per our privacy policy. Don't send us anything you don't want us to use to follow up with you, including confidential third-party information.
6. Third-party links and content
The site may link to third-party websites (vendor product pages, source citations, partner sites). We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. Following a link is at your own risk.
7. Pricing, ranges, and informational content
Pricing ranges, install benchmarks, ROI estimates, response-time data, and other quantitative content on this site are informational. Real-world numbers depend on the specific site, scope, vendor mix, and current pricing. The ROI calculator and benchmark tables are starting points for a conversation, not binding quotes. A binding quote requires a site walk and a signed proposal.
8. Disclaimers
The site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Tec-Tel doesn't guarantee that the site will be error-free, secure, or always reachable. Scheduled maintenance, vendor outages, and unforeseen circumstances may temporarily affect availability.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tec-Tel and its officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of the site, even if Tec-Tel has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim related to your use of the site is limited to the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amount you paid Tec-Tel for site access in the twelve months before the claim. Liability under any signed Tec-Tel project agreement is governed by that agreement, not by this section.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Tec-Tel harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the site, or your violation of any third-party right.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the site at any time, with or without notice, for conduct we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, to us, or to third parties. The sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) survive.
12. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the site is the state and federal courts located in Monmouth County, New Jersey, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page at least 30 days before they take effect, and the "Last updated" date will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new Terms.
14. Severability
If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. The unenforceable part will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
