Security equipment and installation for your property

  • Security cameras for parking areas. A wide camera view can show where a vehicle stopped or how someone approached the building. It may not show a face or plate clearly enough to identify it. We discuss what you need from each view before choosing equipment. Lighting, distance, signs, landscaping, and parked vehicles all affect the result. A separate entrance camera may be more useful than simply increasing the resolution of one distant view.
  • Access control for front and rear doors. The customer entrance and delivery door usually have different jobs. We assess cameras and door access for both, including who needs entry before opening. An intercom may help with a rear entrance that staff cannot see from the sales floor. We plan how deliveries are handled so the answer is not leaving the door open for anyone to enter.
  • Camera and door-system installation responsibilities. For a shopping center or shared office property, establish which cameras and doors the owner manages and which belong to individual tenants. We can discuss separate permissions and shared areas within a supported platform. That agreement should also cover who retrieves video after an event. A camera visible on the building does not tell a tenant whether its footage is available to them.
  • Remote viewing and video management software. Supported video systems let authorized users check cameras and search recordings from suitable devices. We configure access and discuss how video is stored. If your internet service or network equipment needs work, identify it in the project plan. We can assess existing cameras and wiring for reuse while explaining any limits that affect the views or management features you want.
  • Parking camera survey preparation. Look at the current recording with a vehicle parked where customers normally stop. Check whether signs, landscaping, or the vehicle itself hide the doorway. Decide whether you need to see the route through the lot or identify detail at one point. Note the time of day when the view is weakest. Those details help determine whether another position is more useful than another camera aimed the same way.

Products Tec-Tel installs and configures

Projects can include the equipment and services below. We assess your site and existing systems before confirming the products, installation work, and support in your proposal.

  • Security camera installation - Indoor and outdoor cameras, network video recorders, and video storage. We mount cameras, run cable, configure recording, and test the view at each location.
  • Access control installation - Card and fob readers, electronic door locks, controllers, credentials, and management software. We install the selected equipment and configure who can enter each door and when.
  • Video management systems - Software for live camera viewing, recording playback, video export, and user permissions. We configure supported cloud, on-site, or hybrid systems and check existing camera compatibility.
  • AI video software - Software that searches recordings or flags selected activity for review. We assess equipment compatibility, configure the selected functions, and test them against the project requirements.
  • Structured cabling - Cat6, Cat6A, fiber, racks, patch panels, and network connections for cameras, doors, phones, and business networks. We install, label, test, and document the cabling.
  • Business phone systems - Business phones, VoIP service configuration, call routing, and paging. We coordinate the equipment, network readiness, installation, testing, and staff transition.

Monitoring, entry, and video software solutions

  • Remote video monitoring - Connect compatible cameras to a monitoring service, with event review and response instructions defined for the property.
  • Visitor and contractor management - Plan visitor entry, intercom calls, and supported door-access permissions around the people who approve access.
  • License plate recognition - Select cameras and software for reading vehicle plates. Camera position, lighting, vehicle speed, and system compatibility determine suitability.
  • Workplace safety video analytics - Assess software for selected safety events, such as PPE or forklift activity, and configure alerts for staff review. Detection depends on the selected system and conditions.
  • Complete security system installation and support - Coordinate cameras, door access, video software, cabling, and selected monitoring or maintenance services in one project scope.

See the parking approach as well as the front door

East Brunswick’s redevelopment agency identifies the Route 18 corridor as a focus for revitalization and business development. At a roadside property, the security plan often needs to cover more than a front entrance. Parking, driveways, side doors, and rear service areas can be spread across the site. Start with the route a customer or delivery person takes from the property entrance to the building. We use that route to identify gaps worth addressing.

From design through service

  1. Describe the missing view. Tell us where an incident could happen without a useful recording. Include the time of day, lighting, and whether vehicles block the view. Photos from inside the property help us understand the starting point.
  2. Walk the property lines and doors. We review the areas you control, shared parking, entrances, and equipment locations. For leased premises, bring the property manager into decisions about exterior mounting, common-area access, and new cable routes.
  3. Agree on installation and testing. We define equipment, wiring, storage, and user setup. Testing should cover the planned camera views and door functions, including relevant lighting conditions. Any access interruption is discussed with the site contact before work begins.
  4. Set the everyday routine. Practice searching an event and saving a clip. Name the person who manages employee permissions and the contact for service. If monitoring is included, review its hours, covered areas, and response instructions.
