Security equipment and installation for your property
- Access control readers and credentials. We install card or fob readers, controllers, and supported access-management software for selected doors. Start with a list of employee groups, work hours, and restricted areas. A cleaner, manager, and delivery visitor do not necessarily need the same permissions. We configure the approved rules and explain how an authorized administrator adds or removes access. If you already use credentials, we check their format and the reader requirements before promising they will work with a replacement system.
- Electronic door locks and existing hardware. A reader alone does not make a door suitable for controlled entry. We assess the lock, frame, closer, controller, wiring, and intended use of the opening. Identify doors that do not close or latch correctly before treating the problem as software. The project must also account for the building’s exit and accessibility requirements. Tec-Tel defines the proposed equipment and coordination needs; the final design depends on the actual opening and applicable approvals.
- Video intercoms for service visits. An intercom can let an authorized employee speak with a visitor before releasing a compatible door. Decide where a contractor or delivery person should arrive and who answers the call. We assess device placement, network access, lighting for video, and the supported release connection. The receiving person needs a clear process when the requested employee is unavailable. Test the visit from the outside, including an unanswered call, rather than checking only that the indoor screen powers on.
- Security cameras at controlled entrances. We install cameras and recording equipment to show the agreed doorway or approach. An access log records a credential event; the camera provides a separate view of what happened. Connecting those events depends on the selected access and video platforms. We check the proposed link rather than assume two products integrate because both use a network. Review the view with the door open and closed, and decide who can retrieve or export footage.
- Door access installation survey preparation. Photograph each proposed opening from both sides and list the existing lock, reader, and key arrangements where known. Mark public hours and employee-only periods. Identify who can approve work on the building and where the current controllers or cables are located. Tell us whether a lost key, staff turnover, or a planned renovation triggered the project. That helps separate urgent hardware repairs from new access-control features and allows the proposal to explain each door’s scope.
Products Tec-Tel installs and configures
Projects can include the equipment and services below. We assess your site and existing systems before confirming the products, installation work, and support in your proposal.
- Security camera installation - Indoor and outdoor cameras, network video recorders, and video storage. We mount cameras, run cable, configure recording, and test the view at each location.
- Access control installation - Card and fob readers, electronic door locks, controllers, credentials, and management software. We install the selected equipment and configure who can enter each door and when.
- Video management systems - Software for live camera viewing, recording playback, video export, and user permissions. We configure supported cloud, on-site, or hybrid systems and check existing camera compatibility.
- AI video software - Software that searches recordings or flags selected activity for review. We assess equipment compatibility, configure the selected functions, and test them against the project requirements.
- Structured cabling - Cat6, Cat6A, fiber, racks, patch panels, and network connections for cameras, doors, phones, and business networks. We install, label, test, and document the cabling.
- Business phone systems - Business phones, VoIP service configuration, call routing, and paging. We coordinate the equipment, network readiness, installation, testing, and staff transition.
Monitoring, entry, and video software solutions
- Remote video monitoring - Connect compatible cameras to a monitoring service, with event review and response instructions defined for the property.
- Visitor and contractor management - Plan visitor entry, intercom calls, and supported door-access permissions around the people who approve access.
- License plate recognition - Select cameras and software for reading vehicle plates. Camera position, lighting, vehicle speed, and system compatibility determine suitability.
- Workplace safety video analytics - Assess software for selected safety events, such as PPE or forklift activity, and configure alerts for staff review. Detection depends on the selected system and conditions.
- Complete security system installation and support - Coordinate cameras, door access, video software, cabling, and selected monitoring or maintenance services in one project scope.

Installation planning for a business in Egg Harbor Township
Egg Harbor Township’s Economic Development Commission identifies business, industry, resorts, tourism, and transportation within its remit. Those uses can have different public hours, staff entrances, and delivery arrangements. Tec-Tel’s starting point is the individual property rather than a single access package for the township. We separate the doors that should remain open to visitors from those reserved for employees or approved service visits. Confirm the project address carefully: Egg Harbor Township is a different municipality from Little Egg Harbor, which has its own service-area page.
From design through service
- Build a door schedule. Give each opening a name and record who uses it, when access is allowed, and whether it is shared with another occupant. Include staff, cleaners, deliveries, and service contractors. Avoid using one shared code as the default for every group.
- Inspect the existing system. Review door condition, hardware, readers, controllers, cabling, and software access. Identify equipment that can remain and changes that need confirmation from the building owner or another trade. Keep those dependencies visible in the installation proposal.
- Configure and test permissions. Test an allowed credential, an excluded credential, a time-based schedule, and a removed user. Check intercom calls and camera recording where included. Document the accepted behavior and any unresolved building or network dependency.
- Hand over administration. Show the authorized person how to manage credentials, search events, and request service. Provide the equipment record and approved access schedule. Agree on the ongoing software and maintenance terms so the person running the property knows what is covered.
