Security equipment and installation for your property
- Security cameras for low-light entrances. The same doorway can look very different at lunchtime and after sunset. Interior light, signs, headlights, and reflections affect what a camera records. We discuss when your business is busiest and what detail you need at the entrance. We assess appropriate cameras and positions, then check the intended view. A bright live picture is not by itself proof that a recording will show the detail you need.
- Delivery intercoms and door release. If deliveries arrive before the front opens or while staff are busy serving customers, a video intercom may help at the service door. We define who answers and who can release it. Keep the waiting or drop-off location clear. For a shared building, agree which occupant is responsible for the entrance so one business does not unintentionally grant access to another space.
- Door access-control schedules. Managers, opening staff, cleaners, and contractors may need different door permissions. We install supported credential systems and configure the agreed groups and hours. Discuss changes for events or seasonal schedules during planning. We also inspect existing hardware, because a new reader cannot correct every physical problem with a door that does not close or latch properly.
- Video search and recording export. Name views by location and agree who can search or export recordings. Storage should cover the realistic time between an event and when someone reports it. We show designated staff how to save a clip and discuss supported remote access. If you want staffed monitoring, we define it separately from recording and explain the agreed coverage and response instructions.
- Camera and access-control scheduling requirements. List who remains after customer hours: managers, cleaners, delivery staff, or another occupant. Check which entrance each uses and who answers a door call after closing. Include the day when your hours differ from normal. We use those details to plan schedules and permissions, then make sure your authorized manager knows how to change them without leaving temporary access active indefinitely.
Products Tec-Tel installs and configures
Projects can include the equipment and services below. We assess your site and existing systems before confirming the products, installation work, and support in your proposal.
- Security camera installation - Indoor and outdoor cameras, network video recorders, and video storage. We mount cameras, run cable, configure recording, and test the view at each location.
- Access control installation - Card and fob readers, electronic door locks, controllers, credentials, and management software. We install the selected equipment and configure who can enter each door and when.
- Video management systems - Software for live camera viewing, recording playback, video export, and user permissions. We configure supported cloud, on-site, or hybrid systems and check existing camera compatibility.
- AI video software - Software that searches recordings or flags selected activity for review. We assess equipment compatibility, configure the selected functions, and test them against the project requirements.
- Structured cabling - Cat6, Cat6A, fiber, racks, patch panels, and network connections for cameras, doors, phones, and business networks. We install, label, test, and document the cabling.
- Business phone systems - Business phones, VoIP service configuration, call routing, and paging. We coordinate the equipment, network readiness, installation, testing, and staff transition.
Monitoring, entry, and video software solutions
- Remote video monitoring - Connect compatible cameras to a monitoring service, with event review and response instructions defined for the property.
- Visitor and contractor management - Plan visitor entry, intercom calls, and supported door-access permissions around the people who approve access.
- License plate recognition - Select cameras and software for reading vehicle plates. Camera position, lighting, vehicle speed, and system compatibility determine suitability.
- Workplace safety video analytics - Assess software for selected safety events, such as PPE or forklift activity, and configure alerts for staff review. Detection depends on the selected system and conditions.
- Complete security system installation and support - Coordinate cameras, door access, video software, cabling, and selected monitoring or maintenance services in one project scope.

Keep evening visitors and delivery access on separate paths
Port Chester’s LOOP project describes a connection between the waterfront, downtown business district, train station, and Liberty Square. For a business in a walkable downtown, arrivals may come from several directions while deliveries use a less visible side or rear entrance. We focus on the part of that movement your property controls. An entrance camera, a service-door intercom, and a clear staff access plan can address different needs without treating everyone outside as a security event.
From design through service
- Describe opening and closing. Tell us how the business changes through the day, when deliveries arrive, and who remains after customers leave. Note any side entrance or shared hallway that the person closing cannot check from their normal work area.
- Review the equipment and responsibilities. We assess current cameras, doors, wiring, and recording. Establish who authorizes work on exterior walls and common areas. The proposal identifies new equipment, retained items, and any connection that still requires compatibility confirmation.
- Coordinate the installation window. We discuss access around service hours and plan any needed interruption with the site contact. Testing includes the agreed camera views, credential behavior, recording, and intercom call path, not just whether devices turn on.
- Practice a closing check. Have the responsible person verify a door, retrieve a recent recording, and find the service contact. Confirm who updates permissions and how software, maintenance, or monitoring services are handled after the installation.
